TUMMY TUCK
Tummy Tuck surgery is basically removing of excess fat and skin from the abdominal area as well as tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall. It’s a very common procedure among patients who want to enhance the appearance of their abdomen after a weight loss or pregnancy. Afterwards a weight loss and giving birth your skin will lose its elasticity and often it may no longer go back to its original form. A mini tummy tuck also is performed to remove the excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen when muscle repair is not needed. Compared to a full tummy tuck, a smaller incision is made across the lower abdomen and the navel is not required to be repositioned. Once the incision is made, the excess skin is removed and the remaining skin is stitched together for a flatter and firmer stomach.
About the Surgery
Our price includes surgery, all medication, compression garment, 1 or 2 nights hospital stay, 6 nights hotel stay, all transfers in Istanbul and an English speaking host.
On the morning of your procedure, you will be picked up by your patient coordinator and transferred to the hospital where you will have your consultation your surgeon. Later you will have a couple of medical tests to check your suitability for surgery and once it is confirmed the procedure will last around 2 to 3 hours.
You will be spending the night at the hospital following your surgery. You will be discharged from the hospital in the morning following a check-up by your surgeon. You will be transferred to your hotel where you will continue to rest in your room where you are advised to continue resting until your final check-up. On your last day, you will have your final check-up by your surgeon and you will be ready to go home after receiving instructions on postoperative care. Your stitches do not need to be removed as they will dissolve by themselves in time.
Tummy Tuck surgery lasts around 2-3 hours and is performed under general anaesthesia. You may return to your daily life and activities in 10-14 days. As your mobility will be limited we advise that you have a friend to accompany you during your recovery period. You will be required to wear a compression garment for minimum 6 weeks.
