CROWNS

Porcelain crowns are recommended for patients with severely damaged teeth. They are an excellent restorative method which can be used to replicate the look of the natural tooth, while making them stronger than ever before. By removing the damaged portion of your teeth and replacing them with crowns created at our state-of-the-art clinic, our highly skilled dentists can give you healthier teeth with increased function.

Dental crowns provide protection to heavily damaged teeth by encapsulating the whole tooth. Our dentists will reconstruct your teeth to make them resistant to further damage. Not only do crowns protect teeth, they can also boost your confidence by giving you a beautiful smile. Just like veneers they can be matched to your natural tooth colour and shape for a pleasing appearance.

First Visit to the Clinic

You will have a detailed examination by our dentist to determine your requirements. Once you’re happy with your treatment plan, our dentist will prepare your tooth by shaping it to make room for a crown. After the tooth is reduced in size, an impression of your tooth will be taken to construct your porcelain crowns. A temporary crown will be placed onto the tooth until the permanent crown is back from our specialized lab.

Second Visit to the Clinic

Once the permanent crown arrives from the lab, your dentist will make sure that you’re happy with colour, fit and aesthetics and cement it into place for a great looking smile. The timescale for this procedure is around 6 days depending on your treatment.

Crowns are performed under local anaesthesia.
